We have been very busy in the studio for the past few weeks getting the shop ready and planning for our upcoming trunk shows. It is a time of bustling excitement that’s for sure! But alongside the eagerness and promise of upcoming events comes long to-do lists.
What is at the top of our list, you may ask? Before every trunk show there are a few key things that need to happen.
First, we need to finalize plans with the designer. Once we got the go-ahead from designer Alexandra Grecco, we were able to start advertising!
That leads us to our second item on the list - promotion. Much of our promotion happens through Instagram! If you aren’t following us yet, we advise that you do! We don’t want anyone missing out on all the most important information regarding upcoming events and trunk shows.
We often have a lot of incoming questions as a result of promotion, which brings us to our third item on our list of things to do - answering any and every question! Our stylist and bridal admin gal Megan loves answering questions; you can e-mail her, send us a message on Instagram or give us a call - its usually she who will be responding.
With promotion comes our fourth item: appointments! When a bride schedules an appointment, we always follow up with a call and an e-mail to have a quick chat with our bride before she comes in. This appointment confirmation call is important to us - we want to make sure our brides feel as welcomed and prepared as possible for the trunk show consultation.

A: Our nearest trunk show is Alexandra Grecco on May 24-26
Q: What is a trunk show?
A: A trunk show is the perfect opportunity to try on dresses by designers that you love and wouldn’t typically get the chance to try on. Designers will send samples of their entire collection over to the hosting salon so that brides have the chance to try dresses that the salon wouldn’t normally have in store. Typically, special deals or benefits will be available for the lucky brides that find their dresses at trunk shows, but these are determined by the designer.
Q: In what price range are Alexandra Grecco’s gowns?
A: The gowns that will be featured at this trunk show will be ranging from $3,000 to $9,000 CDN.
Q: What dresses will be available to try on?
A: We will have the full Wild Honey collection as well as the full Cloud Nine collection and a few best sellers from Magic Hour.
Q: Do I take home a dress on the day I purchase?
A: No, the dress you try on in store is a sample gown, meaning you cannot buy it off the rack. We would take your measurements and order in a brand-new dress made just for you!
Q: Are there any sort of deals I can get on the dresses?
A: Yes! Alexandra Grecco has a special promotion of 10% off for dresses ordered at trunk shows.
Q: How many people can come to the trunk show with me?
A: You can bring your typical wedding dress shopping crew! We suggest having a small number of people, keep it to mom (and dad if wants to come too!) and closest friends/family only. That being said, we can accommodate a group of up to 8 guests.
Q: How long does it take for a dress to come in?
A: It takes 6 to 8 months for a wedding dress order to come in. However, rush orders are possible at an extra fee upon approval from the designer.
